There are basically two ways to turn your website traffic into money. You can do PPC advertising or you can do affiliate marketing. With PPC advertising you put adverts on your web page and every time someone clicks on it, you get paid. With affiliate marketing your refer visitors to a sale site. If someone buys something, on that web site, you get a commission on the sale. Now say you refer someone to a site and they buy a $1,000 laptop and you are getting a 5% commission, that means you get $50. Clearly it is possible to make a lot of money from affiliate sales. However, getting a click with PPC is more likely.

So which one is best for you, well the answer lies in having a combination of both. Play around with the location and the type of adverts, until you find a combination that works for you.

Matching your content to an affiliate marketing scheme is harder than matching it to a PPC network.

Clickbank - Clickbank sells digital good, like Ebooks.
